Dear Mr. Fletcher:

I am writing to you to present a proposal for your consideration, and to ask whether you would be so kind as to review a related proposal that I wish to submit to The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina.  I previously submitted the latter proposal to the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Florida, when I lived in that state, and they were nonresponsive.  I feel strongly about the proposed work, and believe that it would be of definite benefit to Masonry.  Perhaps with your review and comment, it may have a better reception in South Carolina, where I now live, than it did in Florida.

The two proposals are related.  One, to South Carolina, is to establish a new lodge, based on a revised Masonic ritual along the lines suggested by John J. Robinson.  The other, to the Masonic Service Association, is to establish a research and educational facility that would provide the basis for the vision and mission of the new lodge.

Thank you for your consideration and help.

Sincerely,

Joseph George Caldwell
